We had a retirement celebration for Cheri Kunz and Melaine Weaver this past week. We are so grateful for all of the great work they have done in the school and district! Kindergarteners love science! Today we learned about the power of laughter. The kids started by doing a wall sit and then they were taken back to the classroom to laugh at silly videos. They were then taken back to do more wall sits. Even with tired legs, majority of the class were stronger after they had laughed! We learned that laughter and having fun really is the best medicine! #barnettbulldogs #barnettleaders

Kids Cause is excited to invite you to our Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 2! This event will support students in Nebo School District by helping provide glasses, dental work, clothing, and other essentials. Kids Cause works closely with school social workers and administrators to identify students who need extra help, making a real difference in our community.
The tournament promises a fun day for a great cause — just $60 per person! Bring your own foursome if possible! Lunch will be provided, and there will be lots of prizes to win throughout the day. Come enjoy a round of golf and help us continue supporting kids in need! We hope to see you there!

A fun update from our music class: This past week some of our classes learned a Spanish dance called Los Machetes in honor of Cinco de Mayo. The fourth graders made a 2 liter bottle string instrument and learned how to "tune" the string to a note on the piano. The fifth graders made sock puppets and learned how to manipulate the puppet's mouth with their own voice as they sang the song "Mahna Mahna" from the Muppets.
